Rome is delighted to offer its residents and tourists an exquisite tree-lined trail to stroll and reflect. Many trees along the trail have beautifully engraved Flagstone plaques commemorating loved ones that you will see as you navigate the trail. Although the Heritage Trail is within the city limits, it possesses a forest-like feeling; for a brief moment, you feel as if you are outside of the city.

A Certified Arborist from the Rome Urban Forestry Department plants and maintains each tree with extreme care. Your plaque is cleaned quarterly by Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful volunteers, we take pride and care in each stone as if it were installed in honor of our loved ones.
